Day 112

After surviving an early morning scare with our dog Sandy (another story for another day), the weather turned lousy for most of the afternoon. I almost always complete my runs on the weekend in the morning, but it didn't happen today so I went out for my six mile run around 3 PM today. By that time, the rain was falling hard, the temperature was dropping and while the rail trail is usually a super busy place on any weekend in the Summer, today it was basically empty. I saw just as many deer (two) as I did people (two). In fact, the deer that were right along the trail, just stared at me as I approached. I was about 20 feet away until they finally tucked tail and ran back into the woods.

A big part of my blog, that I've been sharing for the past 112 days, is the idea to put myself out there, in the good and bad. Well, I have to admit that Christy caught me early this afternoon taking a little snooze on the couch before my run. What can I say? It was a cloudy, dreary day and I took a 20 minute power nap. Today's picture was probably about halfway into my glorious snooze.

Today's run - 6 miles, 53:32 (8:54/mile)

Next run - TBD
