Another day, another run! I was really planning (and hoping!) for a day off today after a long Sunday and an even longer the day prior, but it was not meant to be! I had an eight mile run this morning in the heat and humidity of our beachfront location. I guess I shouldn't complain too much since in fact I'm running along the beach! There's plenty of other locations much worse to run along to get ready for a 40 mile run in a few weeks. I felt slow today, I was not exactly breaking the speed limit that you can see next to me in today's picture.
Tomorrow I do in fact have a day off, so I'm very much looking forward to resting the legs for at least one day, I need it. The countdown until September 4 continues, with under 20 days until the big day. Thankfully, even though I have hit my fundraising goal, folks continue to step up to support the Circle of Champs program. Most recently, donations have come in from Rich and Pat Blanchard, and Jenell Hall. Thank you so much to Rich, Pat, Jenell and everyone who has supported the 40 Miles for 40 Years Challenge, I am so grateful.
